Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this solar panel!! Purchased along with the surfr s4 case. This solar panel is so amazing, I'm pretty active outdoors and use it a lot. I've attached it to my pack pack, kayak, laid out at the beach, my pool, I have even attached it to my kids stroller when we were at the zoo!!!! It's a really great product and I use it way more often then I thought I would.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from perfect for your survival kit. During the winter blizzard we had this year my family lost power, I purchased this product 2 months ago and I didn't even think I was going to use it. But when we lost power during the storm we were all able to charge our phones.

Could the Kickr IV charge a car battery if left over a day or two in direct sunlight?

Asked by: gratts
The Kickr only puts out 5 volts and will charge most cell phones and tablets that use a USB connector. A car battery requires about 13-14 volts for charging.

What is the temperature range for use of this product? Can it be used in very low degree temperatures?

Asked by: Fred Fred
The Kickr IV itself can be used in very low temperatures, in fact, efficiency increases as temperature decreases! The maximum operating temperature we recommend is 65°C. Higher heat and humidity may decrease performance or shorten the life of the product.

I bought mine from Tactical Distrib. It has charged in sun for 5hrs and anything I plug in will not charge? What's going on? Is it faulty? Does come charged? Is there a switch? It's brand new and does not even work.

Asked by: Greg
The Kickr Series is a direct, sun-to product charge. It will not hold or collect power for later and is intended to charge devices directly. You can also use one of our Jumpr rechargeable batteries as an intermediary to gather power while you have access to the sun, and then use the Jumpr to charge your devices when the sun is down.

Will this directly charge a Galaxy Note 4 while the Note 4 is being used?

Asked by: Clams
We don't anticipate that this would be an issue, however, using the phone while it is being charged will increase the amount of time it takes to charge the battery.

I this solar panel waterproof?

Asked by: sushi
The Solar Panel is waterproof - the Voltage Regulator that you plug your devices into is only water resistant - a splash of water will not samage this part - if you submerge under water completely - this will damage the voltage regulator and the Kickr will not function.
